Entry Requirements

To be eligible for the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness, students must be at least 16 years of age at the commencement of the program.<p>Prospective learners should demonstrate confidence in their ability to manage independent study and maintain a strong commitment to staying on top of the course workload. A genuine enthusiasm for fitness and a proactive approach to learning are essential for success in this program.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training review at an interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

Learners engage with Holmesglen three days per week, for six hours per day with the classes being both practical and theoretical in nature. <p>The classes are face to face on campus and practical in nature while the theory components of the course are delivered using a flipped classroom approach via our online learning managment system, Brightspace. Theoretical lessons have been structured with pre-recorded lessons, activities, reading and video resources to develop the learner's knowledge in preparation of the practical components which are delivered on campus in our industry standard simulated gym. <p>To receive this qualification, you must complete 15 units in total, comprising of 11 core units and 4 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.<p>If you have already completed other eligible elective units, these may be counted towards completion of this program.

Additional Course Cost

Students will be required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear when undertaking practical activities. Students are required to supply: <br>* Closed toe, non slip sport shoes <br>* Sports Attire (t-shirts/shorts/track pants) <br> <br>The total cost of these items between $150-$200. <br> <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
