Entry Requirements

To be eligible, learners must be at least 16 years of age at the commencement of the program and demonstrate the physical ability and mental resilience required to lead and participate in fitness activities.<p>Prospective learners should have confidence in their ability to manage independent study, along with a strong commitment to maintaining course progress. A genuine passion for the fitness industry is crucial, and a proactive approach to learning is essential for success in this program.
Prior to enrolment or commencement of training, learners will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and pre-training interview. These steps will help determine the learner’s suitability for the course, verify their training plan and identify any learning support needs.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Course Structure

Timetable

This skill set is delivered over one semester.<p>Learning is delivered through a combination of 12 hours per week of on-campus practical classes and approximately 9 hours of independent study via the Holmesglen Learning System. This integrated approach ensures you develop both theory and practical skills that can be applied directly in real fitness environments.<p>To receive a Statement of Attainment, you must complete all nine (9) units, which include the core units from the SIS30321 Certificate III in Fitness. These units are prerequisites for entry into the Certificate IV in Fitness.<p>If you have already completed some of these units, they may count towards completion of this skill set.

Assessments are designed to provide learners with opportunities to demonstrate they have attained the required skills and knowledge using a range of practically based activities and tasks, as required by recognised standards.

Additional Course Cost

Learners will be required to wear appropriate clothing and footwear when undertaking practical activities. Learners are required to supply: <br>* Closed toe, non slip sport shoes <br>* Sports Attire (t-shirts/shorts/track pants) <br> <br>The total cost of these items between $150-$200. <br> <br>If additional safety equipment is required, it will be supplied by the Institute.
