Studying the Certificate II in Salon Assistant at Holmesglen

With both on-campus and virtual learning options, this one-year VET Delivered to Secondary Students (VETDSS) course is ideal for those pursuing their VCE or VCAL.<p>This program has compulsory activities and materials as part of the learning experience. The department will confirm the cost of these prior to your enrolment.

Entry Requirements

Learners are required to be current school students enrolled in the VETDSS program in either Year 10, 11 or 12 at one of the schools with which the VETDSS department has an agreement.
Prior to commencement of the course, learners are required to discuss their learning needs with their school, and be assessed by the school coordinator for suitability to the program.

Recognition of prior learning

You may be able to reduce the number of units to be studied in your chosen course by measuring skills acquired through work, life experiences or qualifications obtained from formal studies or training. Wednesdays from 1.30pm to 5.30pm.<br>Please note that the timetable is subject to change.<p>To receive this qualification, you must complete 12 units in total, comprising of 8 core units and 4 elective units. Elective units have been chosen by Holmesglen based on feedback from industry and staff qualifications.
