Destiny Oung

Certificate III in Beauty Services

Destiny demonstrated extraordinary commitment to her course as she decided to return to on-campus study while working in the beauty industry, requiring strict time management to meet a gruelling schedule.

With an aptitude for chemistry and maths, Destiny is considering further study in Chemical Engineering. Her ultimate goal is to become a Cosmetic Chemist, combining her love for beauty and maths.

Kamlesh De Mel

Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition and Dietetics)

Kamlesh decided to explore her curiosity about nutrition and good health by undertaking a TAFE course. Studying as mature aged student presented some challenges, and though she almost quit at the start, Kamlesh persevered and mastered essential skills needed to succeed in her course.

Her journey is a testament to the power of determination and how struggles can be converted to achievement. In class, as she developed new confidence and skills, her thoughtful questions helped everyone learn better.

Kamlesh recognised that enrolling in a Free TAFE course placed a responsibility on her to not squander the opportunity provided by the taxpayer. She gave the course her all, and her dedication was acknowledged by her teachers and peers.
